City of Seattle Stops Buying Bottled Water! Posted: 25 Mar 2008 12:10 AM CDT The city could save as much as $58,000 a year, officials said, by not purchasing bottled water for events or water-cooler jugs for its workers. “When you look at the cost of bottled water, both in terms of financial costs and costs on the environment, it’s a pretty clear choice that using city water is a much better choice.” |

Posted: 25 Mar 2008 12:03 AM CDT Luxim’s tiny plasma lightbulb outshines LEDs. The plasma bulb uses 250 watts, and achieves around 140 lumens/watt, making it very bright and highly efficient. By comparison, conventional lightbulbs and high-end LEDs get around 15 and 70 lumens/watt, respectively. |
