Bush gives away Alaska forest

Despite logging representing only 1 % of Alaska’s economy, Bush is giving away 3 million acres of forest for mining, logging, and new roads, of which 2.7 million acres is pristine, and containing rare species. Under current law, they are also protected areas - but the Bush administration wants to change that.
